College Timelines for High School Students
Preparing for college is no easy task. As parents we know there are not enough minutes in the day. Even with all of the best tools at your disposal, keeping your high school student on track for college admission is challenging.
A college timeline is a worksheet that allows parents and students to keep track of activities they should consider, when they should start preparing for entrance exams like the PSAT, PLAN, SATs and ACTs, test dates, application deadlines, and a whole lot more. I typically create custom timelines for all of my private tutoring students and most (if not all) parents will agree it is some of the best money they spend preparing their college bound kid for the admission process.
It typically takes me an hour to put together a custom timeline for one of my students. For students that I do not have an existing relationship with, I will need some more time to get to know the student and learn what their goals, strengths, and weaknesses are. Athletes always benefit from custom timelines as they have a different set of deadlines for submissions, applications, and other action items.
If you are interested in having me create a college timeline for you or your child, I encourage you to contact me as early as possible for two main reasons. First, because many parents contact me very late in the game wishing they had done it sooner. Secondly, and most importantly, to make sure you get the most out of the college admission preparation process. The early bird typically does get the worm.
